For ALL Filipino People

I just notice for the past few days after the onslaught of Ondoy to our country (Especially to the most affected part of luzon, and the threat of the incoming typhoon Pepeng) people have been praying and devoted them selves for the protection of their lives and the life of their love ones.

last Sunday Sept. 27, 09 up to the next Sunday Oct. 4, 09 people have been texting, facebooking (if there such term), and telling each other pray for the whole Philippine for an incoming super typhoon is once again going to slaughter our nation. Its great we were united in times of disaster but do we really need to be in danger before asking God's comfort?

David said in Psalm 34:1-2

I will extol the LORD at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.

My soul will boast in the LORD;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

He said at all times, meaning in disaster or joy we should give praise and pray to our God. NOT only in times of trouble.

We Filipino haven't learned our lessons. We need disaster first before we take precautionary actions or ask His grace to be with us.

watching the news earlier, people from our government pointing fingers on who to blame about the flood. Whose fault is it why people were not informed earlier or properly? people were asking why there is so many wastes in our lakes, creeks and streams? Why did the local government didn't implement this and that? what the...have we tried asking ourselves, what did I do to help clean the community? Did I do something to keep God's creation beautiful?

God give us responsibility for His creation (Genesis 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.) but have we really take good care of His garden?

this goes for everyone, ask yourselves. Do i really need God's wrath before I take my responsibility more seriously? Do I seek Him in times of disaster only or in every blessing only or in both?
